1. How do you pair device with this device. I held button down for three seconds and had blue tooth settings open on my phone and it is not detecting the device transmitter

This item is for things that do not have Bluetooth capabilities and for pairing that item to a headphone. This item is not for streaming. This is a transmitter, so it does not receive.

2. I can connect whit my iPhone X ???

As long as the device supports Bluetooth 4.2 wireless technology it will work.

Terrible I bought it to stream music from my phone to my stereo in my truck that does not have Bluetooth, only to find out later, $44 ...
