1. Does this disconnect at the mount so I can get in lower areas...like my garage

The antenna does disconnect from the base but it looks like you would need a wrench. Since the antenna is connected via a magnet, you should be able to easily remove the entire antenna if needed.

2. Will I be able to use this antenna with UNIBEN bear cat 880 CB?
